So we went to the Razorback game last weekend, and I had a couple of thoughts I'd like to share. I've noticed these things before, but I thought it's a great time to share. Being it's the beginning of football season and all.
- We will show up hours early and sit through a rain storm to watch a game.
- It is totally acceptable to stand up and scream.
- We will drop serious cash. The cheap seats are $45 each. Add tailgating expenses, $20 parking spots, car magnets, and a new shirt every year. We're talking $$$$$.
- We talk to everyone in our section like we've known them for years. We'll even high five after every big play.
- After the game, we immediately begin to make plans for the next game.
- We show up late, if the weather's good. But not too good because then we need to get out and enjoy the great weather.
- We only stand up when we're asked, and there's no way in the world we'd let out a shout.
- We throw a ten spot in the offering plate and grumble about how the church wants all of our hard earned money.
- We awkwardly shake hands with those around us only after we're instructed to from the stage.
- After the service, we check it off of our list of things to do and make plans to attend at the next major holiday. Unless of course the weather's great.
